Dr. Dubey's researches were on coronary heart disease (CHD) and most of his researches have been concentrated on inflammation in CHD, such as inflammatory cytokines and leptin. During his post graduation in HUST he published several articles in distinguished international journals like International Journal of Cardiology, Experimental & Clinical Cardiology, Postgraduate Medical Journal as a First Author.
After completing his MD cardiology training from HUST, he returned back to Nepal and joined Shahid Gangalal National Heart Center (SGNHC), Bansbari, Kathmandu and worked there for nearly 4 years as a Cardiology Registrar. In SGNHC he worked with Dr. Arun Maskey, MD (Former Executive Director of SGNHC) in cardiology department. From the first day, he was active in managing patients in OPD, emergency room, wards, CCU and actively involved in assisting cath-lab procedures like coronary angiography, PTCA, balloon mitral valvotomy, BPV. He has done thousands of Transthoracic and Transesophageal echocardiography. Under supervision of Dr. Maskey, he performed several cases of coronary angiography independently. In 2011, he joined College of Medical Sciences and Teaching Hospital (CMS-TH), Bharatpur as a Consultant in the Dept of Cardiology. He was the first to do cardiac catheterization routinely including CAG and PCI-stenting in CMS-TH. He is the first person to perform Primary PCI independently in CMS-TH (in May 2011), and first person to do permanent pacemaker insertion in CMS-TH. During his stay in Bharatpur Dr. Dubey independently performed nearly 1000+ cases of CAG, 200+ PCI (majority of Primary PCI in acute STEMI), permanent pacemaker insertion in a short period of time. Dr. Dubey has done successful PCI stenting in the Unprotected Left Main Disease for the first time outside KTM.
